The classic shrimp recipe! Very simple, yet so delicious. The wonderful taste of
these Gulf shrimp comes through with this light breading.
Fried Shrimp
1 lb Louisiana Gold Gulf shrimp
Oil (peanut, corn, canola)
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
Thaw one pound of shrimp, then soak in milk.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper,
and garlic powder.
Heat oil in a pot or deep fryer on
medium-high.
Individually take the shrimp from the milk and
dip and coat in the flour mixture. Coat all the
shrimp, then add them to the hot oil and cook
for around three minutes, or until lightly
browned. Remove, drain, and sprinkle with
salt, if desired. Then enjoy the best fried
shrimp you've ever had!
Soak thawed shrimp in milk..............................coat in the light breading mix.......................add a plate-full to the fryer.
